Present in the meeting are Marta Garcia (BSC), Marc Clascà (BSC) and José Manuel García Regaña (CIEMAT) 1. Presentation of state of the analysis BSC presents the current status of the analysis of Stella. It includes the analysis of the 768 processes case, which is based on the "tweak" branch. The analysis is focused on the communication phase of the iterations, and it highlights a combined communication efficiency problem of transfer problems and serialization problems. A new implementation based on communications and collective calls is discussed, but is defered to further conversation with the developers. BSC also reports that the use case no longer runs with the current code of the application, and that no further analysis could be done since previous meetings time ago. Jose Manuel will have a look at the use case and adapt it for current version of Stella to for the next steps. 2. Next steps Jose Manuel presents current status and challenges from the scientifc part of the project. The current main challenge is the creation of initialization matrices for very big and realistic problems. We decide to center the following analysis in these two aspects: - Sacalability of communications (Sends and Receives). - Initialitzation of big use cases. Jose Manuel will provide a realistic use case and a meeting with the developers will be set to discuss contents of this meeting.
