Description

ECRH workshop 2025

The ECRH workshop is organised by the ECRH network run jointly by Fusion for Energy and the EUROfusion Operations Network. The network includes all ECRH teams in Europe (affiliated to EUROfusion and Fusion for Energy), QST (under the Broader Approach Agreement) and ITER. The workshop offers an excellent opportunity to meet in-person and continue discussions on a variety of ECRH topics including EC plant operations, EC subsystems like high voltage power supplies, gyrotron, transmission lines, control systems, EC launcher and others as shown in the indicative agenda.

Please register your interest to participate in the workshop in person or remotely through the registration form by 20 December 2024.

Compliance with the electrical standards for the commissioning of EC power supplies 30m

The process for the start of the commissioning of the HV power supplies of the Electron Cyclotron system of ITER includes verifications with the local (French) safety regulations and additional conditions set by the host institution to ensure that occupational and personnel safety is not compromised during the testing and verification of the system.
The main steps followed for the operation of the ITER EC system procured by Europe concern the identification of the applicable safety standards, a hazard and risk mitigation analysis and a preliminary regulatory inspection conducted by a certified body, and will be presented and discussed in this presentation
