The hotel is a sustainable hotel catering travellers for both short and long stays. Each room is an apartment with a small kitchen so that you can cook if you wish. The hotel offers a small shop to buy amenities or food, as well as a breakfast area in the morning.
The hotel is situated in Garching (suburb of Munich) close to the U6 underground (U-Bahn) station, about 5-10 minutes on foot. The center of Garching offers supermarkets, restaurants and other shops, should you like to visit one.
Garching is also close to the Isar river, where there is a really nice walking path both to the Max-Planck-Institute as well as the center of Munich through the English Garten.

Travel to the institute: to go to the institute please walk to the nearest underground (U-Bahn) station for the U6 line in the center of Garching. There is an U6 underground roughly every 10 minutes or less. It is one station from Garching to Garching Forschungszentrum where the institute is located. - ASDEX Upgrade is in L6 (right/east of the map)
The presentations will take place in the EUROfusion building in room 54 (R3 building, groundfloor, at the end of the corridor to the right when entering the building.
