General:

  • New ITPA members have been defined. There should be an European Lead per topical group. Mail is to be sent to the various groups proposing the reconfirm existing Leads. If there are European chairs or co-chairs they can take over this role and if not the members of a group need to select someone among them to take over this responsibility.
  • The E-TASC meeting taking place this week in Garching.
  • Regarding the 5-6 March PB premeeting Sebastijan is to be reminded to get in contact with Marco to propose topics.
  • A draft agenda for the Project Board is to be send out.
  • INCO requested support to complete a 2025 Grant Agreement Deliverable. The topics defined for this document have to do exclusively with WPTE. What is expected is just a few lines per topic.
  • Draft Level 3 reports from PWIE were sent to Marco for review.
  • The plan is to keep using the TF meeting for the reports from the ITPEA Topical Group Meetings.

WPTE:

  • Status overview presentation was made
  • It was confirmed that JT-60SA Experiment Team Leader call has already been advertised within WPTE.

WPSTEL:

  • Regarding the 2026-2027 call for proposals it was requested that it be distributed also within the WPTE community through a TF meeting and/or the mailing list. Marcin will prepare an email for this do be done.
  • Marco is reading Physics Gaps document and some feedback has already been provided.
  • In July colleagues will know about the feedback on their proposals in order for there to be enough time to organize travelling.

WPPWIE

  • Level 3 reports from subproject leaders are being read.
  • Preparation is ongoing for two high level topics on dust and tritium to be addressed at the PB preparation meeting.

WPSA:

  • Machine Enhancement 1 is ongoing without significant new problems. FIDA diagnostic, which is under the responsibility of the US, is under installation. Installation of TS has also started.
  • Regarding the VUV system there was a lifting accident in Naka. Inspection and refurbishment of the system indicates that are no damages that can not be solved. Alignment will be tentatively  done with a lower power laser.
  • EDICAM control PC – team to visit Naka for software installation between now and the spring.
  • Task specification work is to be completed by next week.
