Meeting of the EUROfusion Operations Network, heads of Operations and representatives of the Operations Teams of the European fusion devices in Garching, Germany on 26-28 November 2025.
Focus of the discussions:

Current (-2025) and planned (2026-27) activities on Operations and Operator Training in EUROfusion

Interests and needs of the individual devices related to operations and operator training - not scientific exploitation, as that is handled by the Science Department.

Interest in international collaborations including China (BEST), Japan (JT-60SA) and others like DIII-D, KSTAR, … Particularly, input to the JT-60SA Operations Working Group on the European interests in control room roles and plant system operations.

Collaboration with ITER as part of the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding related to operations and operator training. In particular, the upcoming call for participation in the ITER session leader training.

Role of the different operations networks including CICLOP, new ITPEA working group on Operations, ITER Operations Network, EUROfusion Operations Network, ITER Brainstorming working group on Operations.
