General:

  • The outcome of the last Project Boards were not brought to the General Assembly. But this is always a decision for the Programme Manager.
  • News schedule update was presented:
    • TE -  there’s two new articles to be published on: the JT60SA Analysis meeting and the ETCM.
    • STEL -  Activity completed with two or three highlights.
    • E-TASC general meeting news was published on 24 February on EUROfusion the public website.
  • Budget requests  prioritization was presented:
    • WPSTEL the two topics with higher priority can eventually use 2021-2025 budget.
    • WPTM budget the plan is to bring to the Project Board the request for financial support for the WP leadership. The other topics will be addressed later this year.
    • WPPWIE - It was clarified that there’s no work in WPTE on the scope of the Area 4 ([JET] RE-induced PFC damage). It was commented that JET post-mortem analysis could be covered by 2021-2025 budget.
    • WPTE -  JT-60SA HMI training might be covered by potential extra resources for the scientific exploitation. On machine operations there will be further work on scenarios II and IV. Regarding P1 the first step is to provide a qualitative analysis and an overall envelope but not a detailed analysis, which anyway are not required for the Project Board.
    • WPSA – The breakdown of the missions and human resources on the increase budget request is to be done.

 

WPTE:

  • Status overview presentation was made.
  • Emmanuelle to talk to Xavier regarding interpretive modelling activities currently in WPTE.
  • STAC requested TRL timeline into FP10.

 

WPSTEL:

  • All the task specifications are now on IMS.
  • There might be the need for one more Deputy given the workload in Greifswald.
  • Work on the 2035 strategy is ongoing with this being a Physics driven activity.
  • When available  the Gaps document link should be circulated.
  • Some of the available resources could go to the depreciation costs. Input expected from EUROfusion Admin.

 

WPTM

  • Task specifications are implemented on IMS.
  • The next regular meeting with TSVV PIs is scheduled for tomorrow.

 

WPPWIE

  • Task are all on IMS. There were some difficulties because of colleagues not on the system.
  • It was pointed that there is ~100k€ not allocated. It was agreed to address this outside of the meeting.
  • .

WPSA:

  • VUV divertor spectrometer and TS diagnostic systems have been installed on the machine. Alignment work is planned for May.
  • Remote access to computers in Naka is important for instance for the VUV system. F4E is working on this issue.
  • Resources  input on IMS should be completed by tomorrow.
