Description
    • 09:00 09:05
Welcome and news from WP PWIE 5m
Speakers: David Douai (CEA), Michael Reinhart (FZJ), Sebastijan Brezinsek (FZJ)
      • All tasks and resources in IMS for 2022, approval by GA in April
      • Reminder to all deliverable owners to approve the tasks in IMS ASAP
      • Reporting by November 2022
    • 09:05 09:15
      Overview of SP B and SP B.2 & SP B.3 in 2022 10m
Speaker: Antti Hakola (TEKES / VTT)
    • 09:15 09:30
Status of WEST samples availability in 2022 and plans for analyses in different labs 15m
      Speaker: Mathilde Diez (CEA)
      • WEST work in C4 will concentrate on C4 marker tiles (samples sent to RUs in February, 2 spare samples available) and creating a summary of C3 marker-tile results --> action on CEA to coordinate
        • NB1! On C4 samples, deposition areas larger and deposits thicker and ISP/OSP erosion areas shifted and expanded --> differences expected compared to C3 analyses
        • NB2! Use the agreed s coordinate system and make measurements in poloidal direction (~central line)
      • In addition on the agenda are (i) completing full-tile analyses of C5 markers + sending the tiles to VTT, (ii) initiating analyses of ITER-like PFUs (full-tile analyses ongoing, cutting plan being discussed)
      • Pre-characterization of Phase II samples completed in 2021
      • Questions:
        • CP: Erosion and deposition rates on C3 and C4 markers? Comparable to AUG, clearly < 1 nm/s.
    • 09:30 09:40
MPG activities in 2022 on WEST and W7-X samples 10m
Speakers: Martin Balden (IPP), Matej Mayer (IPP)
      • WEST PFUs: SEM and IBA measurements of full-scale tiles
        • Besides front surfaces, tile side faces (=gaps) can be measured + areas in between core samples
        • Pending tasks: (i) C3 and C4 gap data analyses, (ii) ITER-like PFU data analyses, (iii) C5 marker-tile measurements --> should be available for VTT cutting in the end of the year
      • W7-X samples: focus on OP2.1 and 2.2 phases
        • (i) Marker samples with W + 600 nm Mo + 100 nm W coatings for erosion studies at inner heat shield, (ii) after the campaign analysis of deposition patterns on standard water-cooled tiles, (iii) W heavy-alloy TDUs in the baffle region, (iv) C-coated TZM screws
        • OP2.1 in late 2022, maybe some samples will be out in 2023 for analyses (decision only to be made in the next months) --> otherwise only after 2024
        • In the meantime: B deposition studies using the midplane manipulator as well as erosion during GDC or due to CX neutrals, again using manipulator
        • CP: water-cooled tiles from the divertor can only be taken out after many years and campaigns --> might be beyond FP9
        • CP: is dust an issue based on WEST results? It has to be considered, at least, because delamination of thick deposits may occur
    • 09:40 09:55
Status of W7-X samples availability in 2022 and plans for analyses in different labs 15m
      Speaker: Marcin Rasinski (FZJ)
      • Available W7-X samples
        • 13C analyses of OP1.2B samples as well as composition of deposits; 16 out of 20 TE elements cut and measured --> next step is calculating 13C amounts and receiving W7-X mapping data (so far relative deposition patterns are available)
        • NRA vs. LIBS comparison made
      • Interesting to compare the results with those from other groups --> action on AH
      • Questions: (i) LIBS wavelength for B measurements --> to be clarified by Marcin; (ii) to be clarified if samples can be sent around to Pavel for LIBS studies.
    • 09:55 10:05
IPPLM activities in 2022 on WEST and W7-X samples 10m
      Speaker: Elzbieta Fortuna-Zalesna (IPPLM)
    • 10:05 10:15
He campaign on AUG and related actions for SP B 10m
Speaker: Antti Hakola (TEKES / VTT)
      • Interested labs: VR (Per Petersson), RBI (Iva Bogdanovic Radovic), NCSRD (Konstantina Mergia), besides FZJ, MPG, and VTT; status of JSI to be clarified
      • Action on all to add their names in the list of contributors of the proposal (link in the presentation)
    • 10:15 10:30
Status of AUG samples availability in 2022 and plans for analyses in different labs 15m
Speakers: Dr Karl Krieger (IPP), Martin Balden (IPP)
      • All AUG tasks proceeding well:
        • AUG He campaign 2022 --> all OK --> next meeting in first week of April
        • AUG deposition cracks --> campaign integrated, interesting crack networks seen (mainly SEM and CLSM, also some metallography involved) --> PSI 2022 by V. Rohde for first results
        • Continuation of 2021 samples analyses --> PSI 2022 as the target
        • New melt experiment in 12.04.2022 --> pre-characterization done
      •  Karl: W samples being transported into FZJ (PSI-2 exposure + FIB trenches) and graphite samples to be sent to VTT on Monday
      • Intrinsic Mo impurity always available but at least we have avoided Mo samples next to fuzz samples
    • 10:30 10:35
