    • WELCOME
      Convener: Denis Kalupin (EUROfusion PMU)
    • ACH assessment of requests and proposal for task allocation
      Convener: Frank Jenko (MPG)

Here is a short summary of the status for allocation of the ACH support to requests submitted by code developers for AWP2025.

The E-TASC SB agreed to approve the allocation of the tasks as it was presented by ACH PIs, with exception of a few tasks.

       Those are:

      • EIRENE request (submitted to ACH-MPG) – the request can’t be supported by the hub due to manpower limitation – proposed mitigation measure: shift the task to ACH-VTT (some clarifications are still to be done between PI and the ACH, additional training of ACH staff might be needed before implementing the task)
      • TSVV-02 request on validation data (submitted to ACH-EPFL) – the request needs further clarifications; potential overlap with WPTE and DMP project. Depends on clarification by PI the ACH manpower assigned to it might be reduced assuming WPTE and DMP contributions.
      • Four incomplete (post-deadline) requests to ACH-VTT need further clarifications. Code developers should fill and submit a proper Request Form. ACH-VTT will take the lead to clarify the requests and organise follow up meeting(s), involving reduced number of E-TASC SB members.

Aproval of ACH AWP2025 (by E-TASC SB)

The issue of unfilled positions in ACHs (discussed at the end of the meeting) was addressed. Resources associated to Open Positions were moved from the respective ACHs and put in the reserve of DSD -2025. Those are:

102.48 PMs (Not_allocated), Consortium Contribution of 560.437 kEUR.

These resources will stay available for ACHs in case new recruitment is feasible in 2025.

Information to the community on support received by different codes. The E-TASC SB has raised the issue that some of information (from attached summary) might need to be publicly available (e.g. support received by different TSVVs/codes through 2021-2025). In this respect – I would propose to publish the diagrams included in attached file at WPAC WIKI (https://wiki.euro-fusion.org/wiki/WPAC_wikipages:_Advance_Computing_Work_Package)
